Who We Are

Founded in 2011 by Dr Bryan Monson, Insight Humanitarian provides a stable platform to engage ophthalmology surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and organizational volunteers with corporations and private philanthropy to provide free sight-restoring vision to the blind in developing nations. Insight Humanitarian works with proven established initiatives, on-site community-based health organizations and local physicians for long-term sustainability

Inspiration for the Project

  • Aravind: To Eliminate Needless Blindness
  • HART Humanitarian Aid Relief Team
  • Himalayan Cataract Project
  • LDS Humanitarian Aid
  • Mountain Medics International
  • Salvadoran Association for Rural Health

Want to Get Involved?

We're excited about the direction of Insight Humanitarian. We'd love to hear from anyone interested in helping out. We currently work with ophthalmic surgeons, healthcare professionals, and volunteer students with medical, public health, business, technical writing backgrounds. But we welcome anyone who just wants to jump in and help people. That's what this is about.
