Chihuahua Mexico Cataract Project 2013

Most of us can't imagine what it would be like living our lives blind.  But that is the reality for millions of people.  Cataracts is the leading cause of blindness worldwide, accounting for nearly 22 million cases.  And yet, here's the good news: it's completely treatable.  We want to do our part.

This April 25-29th, Insight Humanitarian is teaming up with The Southwestern Health Foundation and local doctors to provide cataract surgery for hundreds of blind individuals living in the rural Sierra Madre Mountain villages of Chihuahua, Mexico.  There's a huge need.  We hope you'll join us.

Its easy to help out.  Simply click the red 'Donate' link on the right side of this article, or go to http://www.gofundme.com/Cataract-Project and make a contribution. $5-10 from many hands will will go a long way.  All of your donations go towards intraocular lenses, surgical equipment, supplies, bandages and everything else to make this complex undertaking a success.  Thanks for your support, and thanks for taking action! Your gift will be a blessing in the lives of people in need.
